    Baccarat...not your Grandmother's chandelier

In 2001 Levi Strauss & Co. manages to score a pair of their very own jeans(the oldest known pair) on Ebay for over $46,000.  Where are my Levis!!

Its hard to imagine that a fabric developed and used to make pants for sailors and mine workers has climbed its way to star studded status.  Denim has a rich history and has probably undergone more metamorphosis in status than any other fabric. From the leader in work pants in the Western states in the 1920' an act of rebellion and free-thinking in the 1950' the age of respect in the 1970's where jeans became commonplace and the first pair of "designer jeans" was developed by Calvin Klein.

And now denim has made its way onto another luxurious body...the Zenith Collection by Philippe Starck  for Baccarat.  Stunning!  The price on this pretty puppy...about $10,000 less than what Levi spent on those vintage Levi Jeans! Not your Grandmother's chandelier.
